Printing Guide

Thank you for shopping our printable range. We're excited for you to add your new printables to your planner. There are several options when it comes to printing your printable planner inserts. At DotPlanner, we offer files that allow you to print on A4 / US Letter Paper and cut down to the intended size or Planner Paper already cut to size. Please follow the instructions below for optimal printing results, or contact us at hello@dotplanner.co.uk for assistance.

IMPORTANT - READ THIS BEFORE PRINTING:

  • Do not print the files directly from your web browser
  • Make sure to download the files on your computer first.
  • Open your downloaded files with the free Adobe Acrobat Reader.

HOW TO PRINT:

  • When ready to print the insert, go to File > Print to open the print settings.
  • Select the number of copies you would like to print.
  • You can print DotPlanner inserts double-sided if you have a duplex printer. If you are duplex printing, select all pages, the double-sided feature, and choose long edge binding. If you are not duplex printing, select odd pages only and print in chronological order.
  • Under Page Sizing and Handing, always select the actual size or scale 100% to ensure the inserts are accurate to their measurements.
  • If printing on precut Planner Paper, change your print settings to the correct dimensions according to your chosen size.
  • Under orientation, select Auto Portrait / Landscape.
  • Use a high-quality DPI colour printer for optimum results and select the "best" setting.
  • Double check the above settings are correct, and print your inserts.
  • Note if you do not have a duplex printer, you will have selected the odd pages. Flip the pages over and feed the pages back into the printer in the correct order and then print the even pages. Take note of the order to ensure that the correct pages print on the back of each other. Manually flipping may vary depending on how the printer feeds and outputs the pages; please test it out first. It is normal if you sometimes see a blank page in the files. If you skip printing the blank page, it might cause pages to match incorrectly.
  • Cut the printables along the provided crop marks and hole punch.
  • The 'DotPlanner' text written vertically along the long edge of the page is a reference for the larger margin space designed for hole-punching.
  • Hole punch according to your planner's size.
  • Your printed insert is ready to go.

Enjoy your DotPlanner inserts.
